Have you heard of MRE?

2023-08-05

MRE, or Meal Ready to Eat, is a separate personal battlefield ration designed by the U.S. military for active military personnel. This ration began to be used in the U.S. military in 1981 and has gradually developed into a rich selection of 24 different menus.

MRE is characterized by its light weight, high energy, convenience, and relatively good taste. Each MRE contains an average of 1,250 calories, which is enough for a soldier's day.

MRE consists of a main meal, side meals, biscuits, desserts, candies, beverages, accessory packs, and flameless ration heaters. This design enables MRE to provide combatants with nutrients and energy intake without organized and orderly cooking facilities, ensuring that they maintain a good physiological state to complete their work. At the same time, MRE has a shelf life of more than ten years, so it is also loved by outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists.
